If I Were A Central Banker, This Would Be My Number One Graph

Bottom?

I am still bullish on consumer spending.  Just too many cool gizmos out there, extended adolescence of millennials, and retirement of baby boomers.  Money is a state of mind.  As long as the right mindset exists - desire, motivation and commitment - there will be lots of money to spend.

  1. Good post.

I wish that graph went back to 1947. Things were already bad (i.e., the reliance on credit was already excessive) in the 1970s or probably the late 1960s. I can't see a "good" economy on your graph.

"Money is a state of mind." -- I like it!

    1. I wish I had a graph that went back to a better time.

  2. You baby boomers are the most selfish generation to ever exist. You destroyed your own children's and grandchildren's future with your short-sighted selfishness and immaturity. And then you expect them to pay for your retirement????

Can you baby boomers just hurry up and drop dead, please?

Hurrying is the physical equivalent of worrying, which only degrades the heart. Don't need that.
